Assessments Australia, A MAX Solutions company, undertook a data collection project for the NDIA in which we administered surveys in person and by phone with participants, their families and carers to capture their NDIS experience. As a disability employment provider we sought to employ people with disability in call centre and field officer roles to offer them valuable work experience and because we are committed to reflecting our customers in our workforce. 43% of our workforce were employed from DES providers and we would like to share our experience as an employer, contractor to a government agency and DES provider.

Karen has 20 years experience working in social policy development, service design and delivery, and government relations strategy. Karen's career has focussed on improving employment opportunities for all Australians and she is passionate about policy design that helps people help themselves.
Karen has worked as a public servant, in Government as a political adviser and chief of staff and most recently in the private sector specialising in strategy and positioning for government human service opportunities.
Karen has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University and has been admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the ACT.
