Operating in a competitive landscape will throw up many new challenges for DES. However one remains key to success - how can DES get employers over the line when considering disability employment, and what resources are available to support both the DES and employer?

That’s where JobAccess, the national hub for disability employment, comes in - with a comprehensive website, dedicated advice service, workplace modifications and training, vital reporting services aimed at improving DES service delivery and the Employer Engagement team providing expert advice and support to employers to become disability confident.

Gain an insight into the Employer Engagement team and their daily interactions with employers. Get practical tips and advice on how to identify disability confident employers and make the business case for disability employment. Proven strategies to help employers implement inclusive employment practices and address accessibility requirements will be shared. We will also look at the ways JobAccess directly supports DES, including employer information sessions and a vacancy distribution service sharing employer vacancies with a nationwide network of DES. Lastly, explore how the Complaints Resolution and Referral Service (CRRS) provides people with disability and DES with an independent forum to address complaints and share useful improvement opportunities.
